Device control as part of the financing workflow

QistLock connects the financed device to the customer and the installment plan — so when recovery is needed, device control is part of the same system.

How device control works

Every financed device in QistLock follows a clear lifecycle — from active status through payment collection to restoration.

01

Active

The device is linked to the customer and the financing plan. Everything is current.

02

Due

An installment is approaching its due date. The system flags the upcoming payment.

03

Overdue

Payment has not been received by the due date. The account is now overdue.

04

Restricted

After the agreed overdue period, the authorised restriction workflow applies to the financed device.

05

Payment Received

The customer makes the required payment. The system records the transaction.

06

Restored

After payment confirmation, the authorised restoration workflow returns the device to active status.

Device restriction and restoration workflow

The video follows a real-world scenario: a customer purchases a phone on installment, payments fall behind, the device enters restriction, and after payment — it is restored.

Part of the financing agreement

Device control in QistLock is not a separate function. It is integrated into the financing relationship between you and your customer.

Linked to the sale

Every device is connected to a customer, a sale and an installment plan.

Policy-based

Restriction rules are part of the financing agreement, not arbitrary actions.

Clear workflow

Every restriction and restoration follows a structured, recorded process.

Device control questions

The device enters a restricted state according to the financing policy. The customer can restore the device by making the required payment.
Once payment is confirmed, the authorised restoration workflow returns the device to active status.
Device control follows the rules and policies you configure in QistLock. Every action is recorded and auditable.
